Thousands of members of the All Progressives Congress National Youth Caucus (APCNYC) yesterday stormed the state capital to participate in the flag-off of the campaign for the re-election of President Muhammed Buhari.
According to Kogi state chairman of APCNYC, Hon Abdulrahaman Dansebe, members were mobilised from the twenty one local government areas of the state and they arrived Lokoja in high spirit to witness the event.
He enjoined both party leaders and individual party members at respective unit levels to continue with the door-to-door campaign to pave way for 100 per cent victory of the party at all levels.
While appealing for collective votes from all electorate, the chairman assured that victory for Buhari is a victory for all Nigerians, hence the need for all to join the vanguard train.
He also appealed to the electorate to vote APC candidates at all levels, assuring that it is the only option to sustain the democratic dividends being enjoyed in their areas.
“The Chairman’s sacrifice and efforts to unite the party had not gone unnoticed. In fact, he has earned accolades from within and outside the state.
“We are going to campaign strongly for him . I am also committed to ensuring that the APC wins the governorship election come 2019. We support the candidacy of Muhammed Buhari and we would make sure that APC retains Kogi State and the centre,” Dansebe said.
