History was made on Wednesday in Kogi State as the All Progressives
Congress (APC) held the entire state to a standstill as the Presidential Campaign Train stopped over at Kogi State.
That was made possible by the unprecedented mammoth crowd who came out to grace the APC Mega Rally.
Without apology to anyone, it could be rightly said APC is in safe hands in Kogi State as it was obviously made clear today that the good people of Kogi State are true lovers of Baba Buhari; the crusher of corruption, the hope of the masses and the pillar of a better Nigeria and as well the people’s Governor, the Captain of New Direction whose permanent mobilization strength was rightly put to test.
The mobilization prowess of the Digital Governor was marvelous as the President couldn’t hide his joy; a reason he traversed the length and breadth of the Stadium to identify with the people whose chorus of “Baba Buhari” and chanting of “Maigaskiya” was echoing and reverberating all through the Confluence Stadium.
In his speech, the President and presidential hopeful appreciated the good people of Kogi State for their patience in waiting for his arrival. Apart from true love and the desire to make Nigeria better, no amount of dollars could pay for such perseverance.
Baba Buhari recounted his achievements in the past years, a reason he’s seeking for reelection to continue the good job he has embarked upon since he was elected into Office in 2015. He did not fail to promise the genuine revitalization of Ajaokuta Steel Company Limited in short time after the approval of a substantial sum to cater for it.
As part of his address, he pointed it out clearly too that the people should not make the mistake of voting for PDP or any other Party aside APC in all elections as the latter is the sure bet to progress and development.
Earlier, the Kogi State Governor referred to the Rally as a celebration of victory as the signs are already imminent.
The Governor furthermore, promised not to disappoint Mr President and the Party by ensuring that every polling Unit is legitimately won in Kogi State.
As he urged every LGA across Kogi State to vote massively for President Buhari and other APC Candidates in the forthcoming elections, he noted that our future is in our hands but guaranteed by the President.
“Kogi people believe in Baba Buhari, Governor Bello and APC”, he strongly asserted.
The Lion of Niger Delta, Rotimi Amaechi who spoke amongst others asked Kogi People to vote for APC even as he referred to APC as the Party for the Youth. The creation of about a thousand jobs for Kogi youth in the completed Itakpe – Ajaokuta rail line was one of the Transport Minister’s promise as well as the linking of Itakpe to Abuja by rail soonest.
In his speech, the National Chairman of APC, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole expressed joy and surprise at the level of turn out despite short notice.
Having given the credit to the people’s Governor, he termed Kogi as being in a permanent state of mobilization. He furthermore, hailed the Governor as an organizer whom the Party is proud of. Comrade Adams likened the opposition Party, PDP to a person who sustains livelihood through theft and of course believes that every successful person must be same.
Amongst other things, the former Labour Leader read out the blue prints of the Progressive Party, what they intend to do in the next four (4) years and of course their determination to attract a lasting Peace and Progress to the country.
On a final note, the APC Mega Rally was remarkably successful.
