Current member representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Yusuf has defeated former Senator Dino Melaye to emerge Kogi West PDP candidate for the 2023 senatorial election.
Both Dino and Yusuf had pulled 88 votes in the peaceful, free and fair election held on Monday which necessitated a rerun.
History was made again as Yusuf had defeated Melaye in 2010 to pick the House of Representatives ticket.
In the keenly contested Kogi West senatorial election primary election held at Kabba 9n Tuesday, Yusuf defeated Dino by 163 votes against 99.
