Pastor Stanley Ajileye, pioneer Managing Director of Ekinrin-Adde Community Radio (Akogba FM), has felicitated with Professor Gbenga Solomon Ibileye on the occasion of his 60th birthday, describing him as a distinguished scholar, accomplished administrator, and worthy ambassador of Ekinrin-Adde whose achievements continue to inspire generations.
In a congratulatory message issued on Sunday, Pastor Ajileye said the attainment of 60 years is a significant milestone that calls for thanksgiving to God and celebration of a life devoted to learning, leadership, and service to humanity.
He noted that Prof. Ibileye has built an enviable reputation in academia through decades of commitment to scholarship, research, mentorship, and institutional development, culminating in his appointment as the 4th substantive Vice-Chancellor of Federal University Lokoja in February 2026.
According to Ajileye, the celebrant’s emergence as Vice-Chancellor of the university is a testament to his intellectual depth, integrity, and administrative competence. Prof. Ibileye emerged first in a highly competitive selection process and became the first homegrown academic of the institution to attain the office.
“At 60, Prof. Gbenga Ibileye stands as a shining example of excellence, humility, and dedication. His remarkable journey from the classroom to the pinnacle of university administration demonstrates what can be achieved through hard work, perseverance, and God’s grace.
“Beyond his scholarly accomplishments, he remains a mentor, role model, and source of pride to the people of Ekinrin-Adde, Ijumu Kingdom, Kogi State, and Nigeria as a whole,” Ajileye stated.
The media executive further commended the Vice-Chancellor for his contributions to the advancement of higher education and for his commitment to nurturing future leaders through teaching, research, and academic mentorship.
He prayed that God would grant the celebrant good health, wisdom, strength, and many more years of impactful service to the nation and humanity.
