Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, has congratulated Dr Hassan Abdulrahman Ocholi on his appointment as a Member of the Board of Trustees of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), representing the North Central geopolitical zone.
The appointment was made by the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
In a congratulatory statement issued on behalf of the University’s Governing Council, Senate, Management, staff, and students, the Vice-Chancellor of PAAU, Professor Salisu Ogbo Usman, described the appointment as a fitting recognition of Dr Ocholi’s distinguished career and contributions to scientific research, public administration, and community development.
“This appointment is a fitting recognition of your distinguished career and remarkable contributions to scientific research, public administration, and community development,” the statement read in part.
The University also extended congratulations to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, and the people of Kogi State, describing Dr Ocholi as “another worthy son of the State” to be entrusted with a strategic national position. The statement noted that the appointment further underscores the quality of leadership and human resources that Kogi State continues to contribute to national development.
Professor Usman expressed confidence that Dr Ocholi would provide effective representation for the North Central Zone and bring his wealth of experience to bear in strengthening TETFund’s mission of advancing tertiary education, research, innovation, and sustainable national development.
The University further prayed for divine wisdom, sound health, and grace for Dr Ocholi as he discharges his new responsibilities, expressing hope that he would leave behind an enduring legacy of impactful service.
