By Abdulmumin Ahmed.
Sir, I am of the opinion that the time has come for a cabinet reshuffle. This is because the failure of any government may result from bad or ineffective cabinet members.
Due to the vital importance of this matter, I have decided to flash you back to my previous write up where I said that I wish you His Excellency Alh Yahaya Bello quick recovery from your slumber but it seems it sound unclear to so
many people but today am going to make it clear to you as I go.
Reshufflement in government is when the state government’s desire to re- energise the machinery of government and bring new impetus into service delivery.
A reshuffle also provides an opportunity to create, abolish and rename departments and to reassign responsibilities among departments.
This may be done to reflect new priorities or for reasons of efficiency. Sir, why you need reshufflement in your cabinet is that in your inauguration day you made a speech that you are for everybody and you are for nobody but today let me tell you that some of your cabinet members are not for everybody but for somebody’s.
Sir, some of your cabinet members don’t know their function in the appointment been given to them. Sir, some of your cabinet members can not even defend you politically and knows nothing about politics, and also their aims is to enrich their self with the aim to seek for political position come 2019. Some of your appointee’s don’t even know
their ward executive’s to show you that they don’t affiliate with the grassroots.
Sir, some of your cabinet members has no political value to your administration. In my ward, Onyukoko ward in
Okene local government, we don’t have any active political leaders and the only person we all rely on as our leader is Hon Usman Abdulrahim a.k.a Postman the SA to Okene local government administrator and we learnt that there is someone from Onyukoko whose appointment is far better than Hon Usman Abdulrahim but we never feel his impacts as an appointee.
And more also, in the primary election, Sir, there are a lot of people that participated enormously in this efforts            but today we are hearing that some of your cabinet members from central are saying that it is only few of them inform of five of them that participated on the efforts which is not true and even must of them don’t even have voting
right in that primary election and most of them are not in your support before and after the primary,it’s  only when you have become the governor that they came while those that risk there life are yet to benefit from your government i.e The executives and some individuals who work for you through Hon Muhammed Tinko and Hon Usman
Abdulrahim a.k.a Postman e.t.c, those people today were been mock by your opponent/enemies
because they are yet to achieve nothing from your government and those who were fortunate to become your ward Co-ordinators.
Sir, if position was to be giving by performance they deserve more than been a coordinator. And one individual
who’s name is Ibrahim Musa populary known as OC who is seeking for the position of House of Representatives in Okene/Ogorimagongo come 2019, he said he never met Alh Yahaya Bello in person before but do to the love he has for Anebira and for Alh Yahaya Bello, he was in the primary election canvassing the delegates to vote for you to get victory and also helping the delegates financially.
There is an adage that says that ”All the glitters is not gold” which means that people you think you trust may turn out to be something else. So, in politics it’s bound to have an enemies and your enemies may be visible or invisible e.g in the case of you and Dino Melaye and some other aggressive APC members in Kogi state they show themselves as your visible enemies/opposition to your government which is far better than your invisible enemies that you are
not seeing because they are more dangerous than the one’s you are seeing and more also an adage says that ”The best way to destroy your enemy is to make him your best friend” .
So you should be careful with those peoples you see as your best friend in your cabinet because some of them are the pest that is in your kolanut that is eaten up your kolanut, I guess you know what that proverb mean in Ebira language.
In conclusion, Sir with this if you wish to reshuffle I pray that God Almighty should give you the wisdom to identify the right people’s that will sincerely work with you for the betterment of Kogi state and not for their personal interest.
