Yahaya Bello involves in another scam. The mystery behind the ‘When, How and Where’ of the Confluence Rice; re-bagging turned into production.

While other state governments were busy developing their agriculture sector via turning and making use of the potentials in the agro-business sub sector via establishment and production of indigenous rice projects, Lagos and Kebbi Statea produced LAKE Rice, Ogun State produced Metro Rice and the host of other states were involved in the same projects with some at various stages of production stage.

But here we are again, Kogi state under the leadership of the so-called Gov. Yahaya Bello and his co political sycophants in their regular trademarks of lies, scam and embezzlement organized one of the most elaborate and shameless scam and stupidity by going to the extend of buying/importing already produced and packed rice from outside the state, stored it in a warehouse at Kogi ADP office, re-brand the name of the rice to Confluence Rice, shamelessly coming out and commissioning the rice calling it first indigenous rice from the state.

In various state where such projects were undertaken, there were factory sites where those rice are produced and packaged, farm sites where those rice were planted, workers who work in those factories and among others. In Kogi state, we have not seen the factory site nor have we seen any worker claiming to be involved in the direct production of the rice.

Kogites this day challenge the Yahaya Bello-led administration to:

– Show Kogites the location of the the factory where the rice is been processed and packaged.

– Show us / tell us the technical team that was involved in the production process.

– Where the farm lands are located.

We deserve an answer so as to be sure whether it’s the citizens that are lying or the government that is lying and making needless propaganda.

These various scam by the government is becoming too much. In order to meet up with its promises, it became so desperate up to the extent of re-bagging of rice and calling it indigenous rice production programme.

Moreover, it is a known fact that the administration has made shamelessness and inhumanity its watch words.

As we are approaching the new year, I urge the ill-fated administration to face the tasks of governance squarely by been practical and pragmatic not just engaging in propaganda without visible results on ground.
