The latter is usually greater and better but for Kogi state it has always been a downward slope in the hands of kleptomaniac leaders. I can remember growing up in Kogi state under the military administration, before the advent of Democracy in the state, worthy of mentioning is Col Afakiriya, one time military administrator. Indeed, his regime is the best so far, he brought governance to the streets of Kogi state not minding his kaaki and all Kogites can testify as the impact of this great man was felt on the streets of Lokoja and Kogi state in general. We can still see his foot-prints on the sand of time.

Any ways, that was a Better yesterday for Kogi state!
The development curve of the state however is in a sorry state, it has been a downward slope for the state and this menace started when the self acclaimed prince of the Niger, Abubakar Audu emerged. His term in office was characterised with varying unscrupulous acts. It is on record how he robbed the state blind, records also show that during his first and second terms (1992–1993 and 1999–2003) the state went from grace to grass due to the kleptomaniac attitude of the self acclaimed messiah.
The quality of governance from late Abubakar Audu to Ibrahim Idris, Idris Wada and now the white lion, Yahya Bello is the same story of poor performance characterised with closure of schools due to incessant strike actions, non payment of workers salaries but to add a feather to the poor performance of this current administration, Edward Onoja, the Chief of staff in an interview with Channels Television stated that, the government of the state doesn’t not owe workers 15 months as claimed but 12 month, what a shame! Is it right for a performing administration to owe workers for a month?!
For God sake Onoja! I once read you quoting scriptures to defend yourself, so, it is not out of place to let you know par-adventure you haven’t read in the same scripture that;
1. A labourer is worthy of is wage: For Scripture says, “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain,” and “The worker deserves his wages.”1Timothy 5v18.
But the administration you so much exalt is owing workers for a whole year(12months).
2. 1Timothy 5v8: “But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel”
This same aphorism applies to you and your principal.
Already, GYB’s administration is trailing the way of his ancestors and predecessors who are characterised with poor performance but Kogites expects more from you believing you emerged by rare privilege (grace) and if this opportunity is not judiciously used to serve the masses, that grace will soon be prefixed with a DIS-
