The Onyi Ododo Forum in New Zango, Adavi Local Government Area, has thrown its full weight behind the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections, a resolution reached at the group’s weekly meeting.
Addressing members at the meeting, the Chairman of the Forum, Mallam Musari Salawu, congratulated former Governor Yahaya Bello on his official inclusion by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the APC’s senatorial candidate for Kogi Central in the forthcoming polls.
Mallam Musari urged members to rally behind all APC candidates and expressed strong optimism about the party’s prospects in the 2027 elections, describing the Forum’s endorsement as a demonstration of grassroots confidence in the party’s leadership and direction.
The Forum chairman also commended the Director-General/Chief Executive Officer of the Energy Commission of Nigeria (ECN), Dr. Mustapha Abdullahi, for his role in facilitating the establishment and commissioning of the Barefoot Renewable Energy College, Osara (BARECKS), sited at the Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, Kogi State.
He further extended appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who was represented at the commissioning by Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima, for setting aside time to commission the college — a gesture he described as a mark of the administration’s commitment to renewable energy development and youth empowerment in the state.
Also speaking at the meeting, the Pioneer Chairman of the Onyi Ododo Forum in New Zango, Mallam Abdulrazak Salawu, declared that the outcome of the 2027 election was “a done deal” in favour of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo. He called on members to rally support for the governor’s continuity in office, expressing confidence in his re-election bid.
The meeting closed with members reaffirming their collective resolve to mobilise support for the APC and its candidates across Kogi State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
