One Year Scorecard of Gov Ododo a Reflection of True Servant Leader – Chairman Forum of Special Advisers

The Chairman, Forum of Special Advisers to the Governor of Kogi State, Omoluabi Bode Adeyemi has described the recently concluded Kogi State Leadership Retreat and Ministerial Briefing as an eye opener to unannounced, unpublicized but gigantic giant strides of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in less than one year in office.

Speaking on the sideline of the event, Omoluabi, who serves as Special Adviser to the Governor on Energy Matters, said the briefing has exposed Ododo as a silent achiever, humble leader and indeed a chief servant whose footprints are evident in all the LGAs of the state.

Omoluabi said he was amazed to learn that Kogi state government has renovated and also built a total of 88 primary healthcare centers across the twenty one local government areas of the state, stating that this giant strides deserves World Health organization (WHO) recognition and commendation.

The Special Adviser, who is the Bobaseye of Oro-Ago land, said the new psychiatric center at the Prince Abubakar Audu University Teaching Hospital, Anyigba also revealed that the government placed so much premium on details and healthcare essentials. He described the astronomical increase in Kogi health insurance as a way of expressing the confidence of the people in health care sector under the current administration.

He said the continuation of payment of all examinations fees by government on behalf of students at all levels is a bold demonstration of continuity and consolidation as envisioned by the APC led government in the last years. He commended the government for various educational giant strides at the tertiary, secondary and primary levels, describing them as fertile ideas that will transform the state’s educational fortune.

Omoluabi commended the Governor for the giant strides in roads construction as evident in communities of the state such as Egbe, Isanlu, Aiyetoro, Lokoja Barracks, Lokoja Crusher, Adavi, Okene and across Kogi East senatorial district. He described the erosion control project ongoing at Kabba and different parts of the state as live saving and impactful in the lives of the people.

The Special Adviser further commended the government for its new and bold ideas in tourism and culture as exemplified in the last Kogi international carnival that elevated the state to international standards in tourism development. He also commended the government in the youth transformational agenda through vehement war against drugs and substance abuse as being coordinated by the Ministry of Youths. He said the sports development drive of the state is also commendable.

He said the ongoing construction of a new internet market for Lokoja, approval of an international airport for Kogi state and many projects in the pipeline has indicated the direction the administration will go in the next twelve months of service.
