It was a sort of uncommon re-union for both the members of the Bar and the Bench on Tuesday, 21st September, 2021 at Ato Garden, Anyigba, Kogi State, when the man popularly called “Magistrate Onakpa” celebrated golden jubilee of his birth.
The famous Jurist who is currently the President of Upper Area Court 1, Anyigba beamed smiles of a fulfilled life, contentment and gratitude to God even as he glowed in a well-sewed native attire and a fitting cap to wit.
During the event which was massively attended by Lawyers, Judges, Magistrates, senior Police Officers, traditional rulers, wellwishers as well as members of the celebrant’s family including his beautiful wife, the celebrant, Onakpa Tijani Aruwa, expressed his earnest gladness and gratitude to God to have witnessed his 50th birthday celebration.
Highlights of the occasion which was chaired by the Deputy Dean of Faculty of Law, Kogi State University (KSU), Dr. Shedrack Ekpa, were cutting of birthday cake, reading of the brief profile of the celebrant, and delivery of goodwill messages from various dignitaries at the event.
The huge attendance recorded at the event (not just in terms of numerical counting alone but also in terms of the personalities involved), clearly attests to the fact that the celebrant is indeed, a man in whom all persons of goodwill are well pleased!
