The last week has been eventful with all the brouhaha about recalling Senator Dino Melaye back from his constituency.

Much as been said and done as regards these and eventually, so to say, a petition was submitted to INEC. Why is it that we human beings are always in a hurry to get things done? Why can’t we just always allow nature to take its course. We seems to forget that when there is life, 4years is just like the tinkle of an eye. Why not wait patiently for next election to decide Senator Dino Melaye0’s fate at the elections?

There is this popular maxim that ‘time will tell’ and it always does. So whether we do good or bad, time will always tell. Instead of trying to take advantage of the crisis to make money from those involved by taking sides, why not try to get the crisis settled. Because whether the sycophants like it or not, there is no permanent enemies in politics. Let us see, know and have the understanding that politics is like children from the same father but different mother, who will ever believe that in less than 2year, GEJ will sit beside the Senate President and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, knowing fully what transpired in the last elections, or that GEJ will ever visit OBJ.

Wars are started with words, and at the end of the day peace is also achieved with words. Let’s make peace and not war.

Must Kogi State always set the precedent for controversial issues in the country? Has any lawmaker ever been recalled in the political history of our great nation? Are all the citizens been comfortable with the leadership style of their representatives? Instead of recalling them, they wait and use their voting power to vote them out, as can be seen in the last elections.

Let us all join hands to collectively build the OKUN land of our dreams, if we truly love our OKUN land and not always try to tear it down or disintegrate it further.

OKUN RONU Ö…..
