The Okun Development Association (ODA) has announced the postponement of its annual general meeting (AGM) as a mark of respect for the late wife of Obaro of Kabba, Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi.

The AGM was initially scheduled for March 27, 2025, at Iyara in Ijumu local government area of Kogi state.

In a statement signed by the National Publicity Secretary, Dayo Thomas, and made available to newsmen on Saturday, despite the postponement, ODA will proceed with the stakeholders summit to address other pressing issues in Okunland.

The launch of ODA’s official website will also take place as planned, providing a centralized platform for global connections among Okun sons and daughters.

According to the statement, the official website of ODA will also, among other things, centralize information on ODA, its activities and Okunland, ensure easy membership management and access to benefits, job listings and opportunities for Okun youths, enhance cultural exchange and understanding through showcase of Okunland’s heritage. It will also feature news and updates on community events and developments.
