As the 2023 general election draws closer, the Kogi Central chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the appointment of head and members of the election planning and strategy committee for the Sanni Salau Ogembe campaign council for Okene/Ogori Magongo federal constituency election.
Hon. Mohammed Omuya, a former caretaker chairman of Okene LGA has been appointed to head and chair the Election monitoring and Strategy committee. He is to be assisted by Alhaji Ibrahim Sadiq.

According to a statement issued by the head of media, PDP Kogi Central Campaign Council, David Itopa, the appointment takes effect immediately and members of the committee are expected to work in synergy with the campaign council to work assiduously for the victory of all the candidates on the platform of the PDP.
