Okene I: Lawi Submits Nomination Form, Promises Quality Representation

The member representing Okene l state constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Lawi AT Ahmed, has submitted his nomination form at the APC State party secretariat, Lokoja, with a promise to give the people of Okene l more adequate representation and more robust development.
Speaking to newsmen moment after he submitted the nomination form, Hon. Lawi, assured his people of more effective representation and robust representation that would attract more meaningful development to the area.
He said he was in the race to continue providing more effective representation that would give the area what it deserved through collaboration with Governor Yahaya Bello and other major stakeholders.
Hon. Lawi further urged residents of the state to renew their hope for the state, show more support to Governor Yahaya Bello’s administration and  look forward to better things for the state.
“There’s no other place to call our own. Let us consciously bring a rebirth to bear in our orientation, norms and value systems.
“Let us shun greed, avarice, ostentation and corruption, which have been our bane as we evolved as a people in the comity of states.
“We need more patience, perseverance and endurance to arrive the promise land. With courage, determination faith and candour, we shall build a state of our dreams,” he said.
The lawmaker urged residents to continue to support him and Gov. Yahaya Bello-led administration to achieve greater feats.
According to him, the governor needs greater support and cooperation from the populace to further deliver his New Direction blueprint promises.
“No government can do it alone; for us in Kogi State to enjoy more dividends of democracy, the support of residents is highly imperative.
“I implore Kogites especially to cooperate and collaborate with Gov.  Bello as he strives relentlessly, consistently, manifestly and persistently to make life more abundant for us.
“The governor deserves our prayers, support and encouragement,” he said.
