Ohimege Koton Karfe Commends Gov. Bello on Payment of Salary Arrears

The Ohimege Igu Koton-Karfe Kingdom, HRM Alh. Abdulrazaq Isa Koto has applauded Kogi State Governor, Alh. Yahaya Bello for his commitment to clear salary arrears owed civil servants in the state.

The monarch gave the commendation when he played host to the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Matthew Kolawole in his palace at Koton-Karfe.

He described the process of table payment adopted by the state government as a right step in the right direction, pointing out that he has no doubt in the exercise helping to identify genuine civil servants in the state.

The royal father commended the Speaker for his leadership role in ensuring cordial relationship between the executive and the legislature.

Kolawole, who was in Koto-Karfe to commission constituency projects executed by member representing Kogi/Koton- Karfe state constituency commended the monarch for his unflinching support to the state government and implored him not to relent.

The Speaker hailed Governor Bello for the ongoing payment of salary arrears and assured civil servants in the state that all salary arrears will be cleared.

In his address, the Administrator of Kogi (Koton Karfe) local government, Barr. Tanko Mohammed commended the Speaker for his role in ensuring that civil servants salary arrears are cleared.

According to him, the Speaker has been using every opportunity he has to advocate for clearing of arrears adding that his efforts has begun to yield positive results with the payment of four months salary arrears.
