Kogi State Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Engr. Hamzat Isa-Amoka, has released names of the winners of the just concluded House of Representatives primary elections on the party across the nine federal constituencies in the state.
The nine winners have emerged candidates of the party for 2027 general elections.
The party affirmed that the primary elections were conducted peacefully, transparently, and credibly, with members across the state participating in the process.

Incumbent House of Representatives member, Hon Danladi Aguye, emerged APC candidate in Lokoja/Kogi (Koton-Karfe) while Hon. Arc. Salman Idris secured the ticket for Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu.
For Okene/Ogori-Magongo Federal Constituency, Hon. Sanni Salau Ogembe emerged as the party’s candidate. Engr. Muhammed Ahovi Yusuf will fly the APC flag in Adavi/Okehi, while Hon. Sanni Egidi Abdulraheem was picked for Ajaokuta Federal Constituency.
For Yagba East/Yagba West/Mopa-Amuro, the party chose Hon. Leke Joseph Abejide as its candidate.
Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Ali (Halims) emerged the flag bearer for Ankpa/Omala/Olamaboro Federal Constituency.
Hon. Paul Haruna Gowon will represent Dekina/Bassa, while Hon. Victor Omale Ojogbane emerged for Idah/Igalamela-Odolu/Ofu/Ibaji Federal Constituency.
The party congratulated all successful candidates on their emergence and commended party faithful and stakeholders for ensuring the primaries were conducted without rancour.
It noted that the peaceful outcome reflected growing internal democracy within the APC in Kogi State.
“Together, we move forward in unity and victory for a greater Kogi State,” the statement read.
