Odawn Claims Echocho is Still PDP Guber Candidate in Kogi State

The National Officer of people’s Democratic Party and the immediate past State Chairman of the Party (PDP) Chief John Odawn has assured that the candidature of Alhaji Jibrin Isah (Echocho) as the flag bearer of (PDP) in Kogi State still stands.
Chief Odawn gave the assurance at a reception organized in honour of the elected House of Representatives member representing Dekina/Bassa and other elected Kogi State House of Assembly members held at Islamia Primary School Dekina.
He pointed out that PDP as a Party and one family has never met either at State or Federal Level to give contrary statement regarding the candidature and flag bearer of the party in Kogi State.
The National Officer who charged the people of the state to desist from peddling unfounded rumour, noted that such rumour is capable of causing political set back and even development in the state.
In his remarks, the Speaker. Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Abdullahi Bello warned the people of the area to avoid any act that could bring political crisis especially back -biting and pull-him-down syndrome.
The Speaker therefore assured the people of Dekina Local Government Area of his total commitment and support of the candidature of Alhaji Jibrin Isah who is the flag bearer of POP in Kogi State.
He called for a joint effort of the party Stakeholders, elected and electorate ensure that the existing Unity and struggle to sustain the leadership quality above parties is achieved.
In a separate response, the Deputy Speaker, Hon. Emmanuel Omebije assured that he would in conjunction with his colleagues not let their people down in their bid to ensure human development legislation in the National and State Assembly respectively. He therefore, commended the Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Abdullahi Bello and other Honourable members for the honour done to him and his colleagues, adding that their attendance has not only boosted their morale but would cement the existing relationship in the House.
