Oba Ibeun Inaugurates Policy, Project Implementation Committee for Development of Mopa Community

The Chairman of Mopamuro Local Government Area Traditional Council and the Elulu of Mopa, His Royal Majesty, Oba Muyiwa Ibeun has inaugurated the Elulu Policy and Project Implementation Committee (EPPIC).

The inauguration held in Mopa few days after the members of the committee and the Elulu Advisory Assembly (EAA) were announced.

During the inauguration, Oba Ibeun said as contained in their respective appointment letters, their responsibilities is to first exercise their loyalty to Mopa by interpreting policies, implementing projects subject to the guidance and approval of the Elulu and the EAA.

“Your committee is to work directly with the Elulu towards achieving his developmental vision for Mopa,” he added.

Oba Ibeun emphasized that part of the main duty of the committee is to identify socio-developmental needs of Mopa and call the attention of the kabiyesi to it for possible intervention.

During the inauguration, the members differently gave their acceptance speeches, and raised issues of security concern, road and power supply.

Oba Ibeun said some of the committee members has started working before the announcement of their appointments, that him in company of the Caretaker Chairman of the Local Government, Hon. Ademola Bello has also met with the Police, DSS, NSCDC and Vigilante in terms of security.

“We have also initiated moves to end years of power outage and also fix our roads,” he said.

The Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Jesse Oloke, in his remark on behalf of other committee members, appreciated Oba Ibeun, expressed their commitment to serve.
