The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp (NSCDC), Kogi State command has paraded eight suspects including a 15 year old boy for allegedly vandalizing electrical equipment belonging to the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC).
The suspects paraded are Abubakar Sadiq, Salifu Badamosi, Taibu Yusuf, Idris Sani, Balogun Samuel, Obinna Godwin, Babatunde Sunday and Abdulmumini Gimba.
Parading the suspects at the command headquarter in Lokoja, the Kogi state commandant Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, Everestus Obiyo said the command in collaboration with local vigilante in Kotonkarfe and Adankolo caught all the suspects in act.
Obiyo noted that the suspects have admitted committing the crime during preliminary investigation and have been charged to court.
He said the command who is saddled with responsibility of protecting critical infrastructure in the country will not relent to arrest criminals who indulge in vandalism, theft, and anti social activities within Kogi State and its environs.
Items recovered from the suspects are ladders, aluminium cable conductor, J5 bus, knife, fuse, hack saw amongst others.
