“On non payment of salary, I will first of all want to establish that it is a National Economic issue that affected most states, caused by overdependence on the drastically reduced monthly allocation from the Federal Government purse, due to the sharp drop in price of crude oil per barrel.

“It is also important to note that Gov. Yahaya Bello met backlog of unpaid salaries when he resumed as the State Governor, with an over bloated, illegal and criminal civil service. It should also be of note that there are debt servicing on the State’s allocation, owed by previous administration.

“It is no doubt that Gov. Yahaya Bello has given light to the hope of people of Kogi state especially the Youth by involving them in leadership and governance that carries everybody along,” he posited.

Abel outlined that the endorsement of the Governor by the people of Kogi State is a pointer to note that his style of leadership is accepted, appreciated and must be continued.
