New Exco: No Room for Mediocres – Wada

Governor Idris Wada has assured Kogites  of a radical departure in the appointments of political office holders and promised a reduction in the size of his cabinet and aides.

The amiable governor promised to bring in the best hands in the state to constitute his executive council, saying, there is no room for mediocres.

He made the disclosure recently during an interactive session with Kogi State natives resident in Ilorin, the Kwara State capital.

The state governor, who addressed the people through the Deputy Governor, Architect ‘Yomi Awoniyi thanked them for their support at the election that ushered him into office.

While vowing to remain focused, he said he would not compromise on acceptable standards in appointing the best hands as commissioners and special advisers to fill his cabinet .

Wada stressed that his administration would run a cost effective system of governance, assuring that the present administration was resolute in meeting the expectations of the people.

The deputy governor describied Captain Wada as an experienced and exposed administrator who has a clear mission on how to move the state forward, urging the people to make their ideas available to the present administration.

He said aside running a private sector driven economy and creating an enabling environment, he would offer tax holidays and other incentives to would be investors.
