The Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Adamu has reportedly halted the arrest of the Social Democratic Party’s senatorial candidate for Kogi Central in the last election, Barr. Natasha Akpoti.

Speaking with our correspondent, Akpoti said the police boss, who she described as someone who hate injustice, halted the process because she had earlier written to him on 18th regarding an allegation which the Kogi state commissioner of police is currently investigating.

Akpoti said, in the desperate bid of Governor Yahaya Bello to silence her, the governor allegedly ordered the SARS in Lokoja unit to arrest her this morning despite the fact that she had already applied for the transfer of the case.

“The SARS squad commissioned for the political witch-hunt are currently in Governor Bello’s House in Abuja as the IGP stopped them from taking any action against me,” she said.
