For her dedication in humanitarian services and the Islamic faith, the Ihima Chapter of Nasri Min Allah el-Fat’hi (NASFAT) has honoured the Chairman of Kogi State Mineral Resources and Environmental Management Committee (MIREMCO), Hajia Hassiat Suleiman.
The prestigious NASFAT Merit Award was given to her recently in Ihima, Okehi Local Government Area amidst special prayer session for the state, its government and the recipient at NASFAT prayer ground.
In his admonition, an Islamic cleric, Alhaji Yunus Abubakar Sidiq praised Hajia Hassiat for her contribution to the growth of Islam and urged her to sustain the tempo in order to garner the rewards for those who aid the propagation of the faith.
Alhaji Sidiq further enjoined women to emulate  Hajia Hassiat just as he urged them to be more submissive to their husbands regardless of their achievements in the society.
On his part, Alhaji Isma’il, who also harped on the virtues of humility gave the example of the first wife of Prophet Muhammad, Khadijah, who despite her wealth, submitted to the Prophet in marriage even before his ascension to prophethood.
He therefore urged Muslims to be always humble and strive in the course of propagation of the message of peace, togetherness which Islam advocates.
The Chairman of NASFAT in the area, Ustaz Yahaya Muhammed, who spoke on the continued efforts of Hajia Hassiat in assisting humanity at large, said the award was out of their conviction that she is a woman with milk of human kindness.
Reacting to the accolades, the recipient, Hajiya Hassiat Suleiman applauded NASFAT for finding her worthy of the award, urging them to continue to pray for the administration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello.
She thanked the entire Muslim community in Ebiraland and her political associates for felicitating with her, and assured them that the present administration in Kogi State means well for the people.
