It has become imperative to address the issues thrown up by my recent defection from Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the platform on which you the good people of Ijumu Constituency voted me to Kogi state House of Assembly.
The lingering crisis in Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which in my humble opinion is a consequence of personality clash, power tussles, divergent views by leaders on the operations of the party’s policy have impacted negatively on the performance of my duties as a legislator. In addition to this is my quest to be adequately equipped not only to, in concert with other honourable members make laws for good governance but also to attract appreciable development to the good people of Ijumu constituency in every sphere of human endeavour.
I am of the firm conviction that my defection to the ruling party in the state (APC), will put me in the mainstream of governance in the state and enable me deliver adequately and appropriately on the mandate given to me.
After due and wide consultation with party members and leaders in the constituency, the need for this action becomes necessary.
I hereby assure the good people of Ijumu constituency that my commitment to diligently work for the good of Ijumu constituency remain unwavering. The desire for qualitative delivery of dividends of democracy is the predominant determinant for the change in the political platform on which I will henceforth serve the good people of Ijumu constituency in Kogi state House of Assembly.
The gains in terms of development will fully make this move worth the while and it will certainly justify the confidence you have all reposed in me with this mandate.
In the coming weeks, I hope to constructively engage the good people of Ijumu Constituency on ways this change in direction can be leveraged on for the benefit of Ijumu constituency.
