The Chairman Of The All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in Igalamela Odolu local government of Kogi State, Murtala Musa Ejigebe has reiterated his resolve to build the party into a strong political movement in the area.
Ejigebe made this known while addressing party faithfuls in Ajaka.
“If properly managed, APGA will achieve a lot. We have a job to build a party that will stand the test of time. I want to use this opportunity and medium today to appeal to those members of our party who have decided to leave for a journey to unknown destination, to a strange land where they will never be accepted as home. This is your home so come back home because our doors are wide open. I assure you that we will continue to do whatever it takes to ensure that we deepen internal democracy in APGA.
“There is a new wave of political awakening. The party is focused on bringing back the abundance for which Nigeria is known – in terms of human and material resources, and ensuring that that abundance is shared by all.
“We welcome any Nigerian who wishes to contest election on our party platform, but we are not for sale and will not be intimidated by anyone. We will not allow a desperate politician to destroy our party by enticing hungry members of the National Executive Committee to precipitate crisis within our ranks,” he said.
He added that APGA is concerned with the need for a renaissance and renewal for the country, a feat that will be achieved when dynamism is entrenched in the socio-political process and new ideas are brought on board, especially from Nigeria’s largest demographic – the youths.
He thanked all members of the APGA for the great opportunity given him to lead the party and assured that he will continue to do his best till the end of his tenure.
Ejigebe pledged his loyalty to the party leader, Chief Ojomaje Sule Edili, the Olumada of Igala Kingdom and Citizen Goodman Akwu.
