Momoh Obaro Punctures Allegations of Fraud Against Ohere

An elder statesman and one time People Democratic Party’s  Director of Finance, Chief Momoh Yusuf Obaro has refuted the social media  publication credited to one Gabriel Enoh where he mentioned that Obaro intervene using his political connections and saved Engr. Sadiq Abubakar Ohere from being sacked for corrupt activities.

Obaro who refuted the claim in a statement he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Lokoja, described the publication as false in it entirety, saying that he (Obaro) has never intervened in any corruption charges involving Engr Ohere.

Part of the statement reads: “My attention has been drawn to a publication that one Gabriel Enoh wrote and shared widely in the social media.

“A part of the said writeup stated inter alia that: “During his days at the Federal Ministry of Mine and Steel, Engr. Ohere was link to a corrupt activities with the then DG for procurement, Alhaji Wali Nasiru which  almost ended Ohere’s  career not until Chief Momoh Yusuf Obaro intervene using his political connections and saved him from being sacked”.

“I wish to state categorically that this statement is false in its entirety. I have never intervened in any corruption charges involving Engr Ohere.

“This purported incident never happened. It’s a figment of imagination in the head of the writer. I have never knowingly or unknowingly peddled lies. I publish what I verified to be the truth,” the statement said.

The one time gubernatorial aspirant on the platform of PDP in Kogi state however, urged people to desist from using his name in any fabrication of falsehood and lies to mislead the general public.
