Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt Hon. Matthew Kolawole has felicitated with Nigerian workers on the occasion of this year’s Workers Day Celebration, imploring them to be diligent in performing their responsibilities for the growth and development of the country.
He noted that this year’s Workers’ Day is being marked under a very difficult circumstance as a result of the challenges of the rising insecurity in the land, urging them to continue to collaborate with the authorities to fasten the process that will assist the government in implementing policies to bring down the rising insecurity in Nigeria.
He sincerely rejoiced with the ever resourceful, dependable and committed workers all over the world in general and Kogi State in particular as we mark the Workers’ Day under the banners of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC).
Rt Hon. Kolawole expressed gratitude to all the diligent workers in Kogi State for cooperating so marvelously with the new direction administration to achieve set goals for the collective good of the state, calling on the PASAN and JUSUN who are currently on strike to reconsider their actions for the benefit of the country.
