Man Abducted in Abuja, Rescued by Police-Military Team in Kogi

A joint police-military patrol team, operating in Kogi state, has rescued a man abducted in Abuja.

Spokesman of the Kogi State Police Command, William Aya, confirmed this in Lokoja on Thursday.

According to Aya, the man, AbdulGaniyu Afolabi, was kidnapped in Kubwa, in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

He revealed that Afolabi, a staff of Lagos-based Dream Works Logistics, was rescued at Ajaokuta area of Kogi state in an operation on Tuesday.

“In a daring operation, on February 20 by the joint police-military patrol team, one AbdulGaniyu Afolabi who was kidnapped at Kubwa in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) was rescued from the hands of his abductors at Ajaokuta area of the state,” he said.

He said the victim had been taken to the hospital in Lokoja for medical attention.
