A former President of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Alhaji Sani Lulu Abdullahi has awarded academic scholarship to 14 student-players to continue their academic pursuit at FOSLA Academy Karshi Abuja next academic session.
The scholarship award which is worth N101.5 million will see the players continue their education at the Academy while also playing football.
The recipients who were selected from FCT and Kogi State comprised of 10 boys and 4 girls. They include Mustapha Abdulkarim (Omala LGA, Kogi State), Abdul Samuel (Omala LGA, Kogi State), Abdulazeez Yakubu (Olamaboro LGA, Kogi State), Mustapha Idris (Dekina LGA, Kogi State), Felix Talle (Bassa LGA, Kogi State), Hamza Yakubu (AMAC, FCT), Emmanuel Ini-Obong (AMAC, FCT), Ogbelu Oguche (AMAC, FCT), Muhammed Usman (Karshi, FCT), Awolola Emmanuel (Kwali, FCT). The girls selected are Wosilatu Alhassan (Dekina LGA, Kogi State), Sumaya Usman (Dekina LGA, Kogi State), Peace Peter (Gwagwalada, FCT) and Janet Bawa (AMAC, FCT).Addressing the successful players and their parents, Lulu who was a Director of Sports in FCT said the scholarship award is worth N725,000.00 per student for a session, and that the Academy would cater for the students up to their tertiary level.
