The 2025/2026 Common Entrance Examination took place today in all the centers across the 21 Local Government Areas of the state.

Reports from all the centers indicated a huge success as there were minimal challenges.

The State Commissioner for Education, Hon. Wemi Jones, who monitored the conduct of the examination in some schools in Lokoja, commended the supervisors and invigilators for the orderly and peaceful conduct of the examination.

He stated that all the challenges experienced in the conduct of the exercise would be addressed in the subsequent examinations.

The Commissioner reiterated the commitment of the state towards ensuring that learners do not just have access to free and quality education but a conducive environment for teaching and learning.

He called on all the school administrators to participate fully in the 2025/2026 Annual School Census to ensure proper planning and policy implementation.

Also, the Permanent Secretary, Mr. Alabi Albert Bamigbade, commended the State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for providing an enabling environment for the successful conduct of the examination.

He noted that the free education and examination policies in the state have positively impacted on the examination as pupils from public schools wrote the examination at the expense of the state government.

This, he said, has increased the enrollment rate in public schools and reduced the out-of-school children in the state.

Speaking, the Education Secretary, Lokoja Local Government Area, Alhaji Abdulkadri Danladi Yakubu commended the State Ministry of Education for the smooth conduct of the examination.

He said the timely delivery of the examination papers in schools and the early commencement of the examination in all the schools is commendable.

Schools visited were the Holy Trinity School, Confluence International Academy, St. Luke Nursery and Primary School, Teacher Home International School, Muslim Community School and LGEA Primary School Lokongoma.
