The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has announced that Lokoja, Kogi state capital, is going to experience interruption of power supply for three days.

According to a statement issued by the management of the distribution company, the power outage is due to a scheduled maintenance work to be undertaken by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).

The exercise has been scheduled to begin as from Saturday 6th February, 2016 and will last till Tuesday, 9th February.

In a related development, the statement further disclosed that the TCN will be carrying out the repair work on one of the transformers at its substation in Lokoja.

The AEDC, therefore, appealed for understanding of its customers in Lokoja and environs, and assured that normal electricity supply will resume once the TCN concludes the maintenance work.
