It is obvious that something is happening in Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency right now, as there is a wind of change. A wind that blows all along from Kogi Local Government to Lokoja LGA where the Democrat was born. A wind of renewal coming all the way from my Ward (D), And about blowing through the city where we were raised which will breathe new life into politics.
In this election, constituents of Lokoja/Kogi have said loud and clear. That too many aspirants are not the solution but who amongst them can do it right. That they have had enough of the same old debates and promises. They deserve better and that is why we should dare to bring about a change.
Change that is now necessary because time is running in circles. Because for too long, we have replaced scandals with misfortune, misfortune that we could not tolerate anymore. Because some gangs want to benefit from divisive politics and issues that matter most to the masses are yet to be settled.
Fellow Constituents, we must vote to bring the right candidate whose priority is effective representation. Even though they (opposition) have acknowledged him (Umar Alfa Imam) to be too polite to be a politician, as if it’s a weakness for a political leader to listen to the cry of his constituents.
My people, Distinguish Honorable Umar Alfa Imam is indeed a pragmatic, credible and transparent leader, You all know where he stands and you know he will surely fight for the priorities you hold dear in order to give a voice to masses in Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency.
He is perhaps committed to do things differently in the National Assembly and of course ready to get results in the first year as your representative just as he did while in the State House of Assembly in less than four years.
Rt. Hon Umar Alfa Imam represents the values you cherished (Quality Representation). No matter the Party we supported in the past, we can put the old debates aside and work together to achieve the real change.
Let’s prove to the cynics and old folks in the opposition that, there perceptions are wrong. That it is and would be possible for Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency to have a Confident, Willing, and Outspoken representative in the Parliament. Although others will tell you that you have no choice but to vote for them but that is, once again, old politics.
You deserve better. You deserve change. And for that, we need to do more than keeping mute and call upon the Almighty, We need to replace them as it is not the first time for us to bring about major changes in our Constituency.
The time has come for some one to take on those responsibilities.
Rt. Hon. Umar Alfa Imam is prepared to take on the challenge but it can not be done without YOU, let’s come together and start the work right Now.
It starts with a vote, I mean your votes. And together, we can do this.
