In my usual idiosyncrasy, I have come again to propagate the philosophy of ‘MMK’ and the originator of that ideology. I had hitherto decided within me not to write anything pertaining the next Bye-election, but the love of the good people of Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency would not allow me to remain silent.

Permit me to introduce a very dignify personality to you: Hon. Muhammad Mabo Kassim a.k.a MMK was born into the royal family of Mabo Kingdom in Kupa a town in Lokoja Local on the father side and the Maigari Royal Dynasty on the Mother side, in Lokoja Government Area of Kogi State.

He attended his basic education in Local School Management Board (LSMB) Kabawa, had his secondary school education at Crowther Memorial College (CMC) Lokoja, and went to Plateau School of Accountancy and Management Studies, Jos, Kogi State Polytechnic and National Open University of Nigeria.

Mabo was the former Executive Chairman Lokoja local government council from 1996-1997. He won in a keenly contested non-political party platform election.

He was Kogi State Chairman of All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) and interim State Chairman of All Progressive Congress (APC).

Enough of this details about him, let me go straight to the focus of this piece.

Let it be said that I hold on to the belief of Lord Wilberforce which states that: ” nation without principle is misery in politics, inconsistent in human capacity and inconceivable in human society”. And principle is not expected to be rigid but dynamic in order to move in line with the direction of development, as development itself entails growth plus change.

If the practice in the national assembly has always been hinged on putting returning honourables on a high pedestal compare to the new ones, what would have been the causes of insinuating to change the eruditely assiduous Late Rt. Hon. Umar Buba Jibril who recorded an unprecedented performance by giving us the required and needed representation in Lokoja/ Kogi Federal Constituency when he reigned as the lawmaker, but alas! Death struck!!.

In addition, if actually we want to encourage continuity after the sad demised of our leader, Rt Hon. Umar Buba Jibril, nothing to do than to Support Muhammad Mabo Kassim as this will explicitly show that we have started to value the best over the mediocres. I didn’t say MMK is the best in Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency but I can emphatically say without owning anybody an apology that he is better than some of his contemporaries that are aspiring to represent us in the green chamber at the moment.

Due to the peculiarity of our constituency’s terrain as the with its conterminous challenges facing our people, as your representative, and a man who will never renege on our avowed mission to develop, promote and sustain the legacy of our leader, Late Rt. Hon. Umar Buba Jibril, Mabo is in the best position to geared the Constitutes towards achieving our dream- equitable social and economically developed Lokoja/Kogi Federal Constituency.

Let’s vote “MMK” to represent Lokoja/Kogi Federal constituency at the house of Representatives.

In conclusion,we need to have a successor who have a plan for Lokoja/ Kogi Federal Constituency, Muhammad Mabo Kassim is the only politician that have the capacity and the spirit to lead developmental projects initiated by Late Rt. Hon. Umar Buba Jibril.
