Now that its another political harvest ahead of 2019 general election, candidates for various political party are swelling in numbers by the day.
Hon Ndagi Ndanusa, the flagbearer of the Sustainable National Party (SNP) contesting for the Lokoja || constituency seat in Kogi State House of Assembly, has assured constituents and party faithful of quality representation with a promise to make positive difference through effective delivery that will promote the people’s best interests and bringing dividends of democracy to their door steps, saying that as a grassroots politician, he knows the problems confronting the area and that if given the mandate to serve he will proffer solutions to the problems.
Ndagi, in a statement, said that with his progressive democratic credentials and perspectives, he intends to be a strong voice for constitutionality, accountability, reason, unity and robust intellectual engagements for the proper development of Kogi State.
He said: “In furtherance of this decision, I shall be naming a 50-man group of very competent and experienced grassroots political leaders, strategists, activists, and resource persons to lead our immediate preliminary consultations and campaigns.”
Ndagi coming into the race has been described as right peg in right hole, who has been in the game of politics for the past 15 years according to one of the political icon in his constituency.
He said his strong conviction was fired by the present agitation for a change in the representation at the state House of assembly as well as his personal relationship with the people and the firm knowledge of the political terrain of the constituency.
His mission at the Kogi state House of Assembly come 2019 is to lay legacy of positive mentorship for the youths of Lokoja || constituency and bring succor to the generality of the constituents through good and inclusive governance.
He said: ‘my people needs better representation, their present representative has done his best but it could be done better since the governance is continuum”, he said.
The political titan as he is being referred to by his followers believes that the following communities: Eggan, Abugi, Budon Kupa, Oworo etc can be turned to the envy of all other constituencies in Kogi state.
He said many people considered Lokoja || as home to ‘ nonentity boys’ which he says is inappropriate.
“I have engaged these boys we have graduate among them and what I discovered was that they are ready to be engaged in legitimate job if given opportunity which I am ready to provide when I get to the house of Assembly as their representative”, Ndagi said.
Ndagi maintained that these boys could be useful to themselves and to the society at large through creation of enabling environment and tap into their potentials.
“I will take them off street and they will be gainfully employed and become envy of other”, Ndagi promised.
The SNP candidate, who vowed to transform his constituency and protect the interest of his people if elected into office, further hinted that he had trained many youths in skill acquisition and encouraged indigent students in his constituency by assisting them pay their tuition in their respective institutions.
“I assure you that I will not disappoint you in this call to represent the people of Lokoja II constituency in the House of assembly.”
He added that he would be a good ambassador of Lokoja II, and grant access to every of his constituent.
