A former national officer of NULGE, Comrade Isah Tanimu Umar has obtained the nomination form to contest Lokoja 1 House of Assembly election on the platform of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the 2019 general election.
The former labour leader who spoke with journalists at the party secretariat in Lokoja yesterday shortly after obtaining his nomination form promised to provide purposeful representation for the people of Lokoja 1 Constituency.
Umar noted that he picked the nomination form after accepting the calls from his people to contest for the Lokoja 1 constituency seat in Kogi State House of Assembly.
“In response to calls by my people and in keeping with my strong desire to upscale the excellent work the APC led administration have done in the state, through effective, purposeful representation, I have picked up the APC nomination form for Lokoja 1 constituency,” he said.
He assured that the people of the constituency would enjoy more dividends of democracy if elected in the next year general election.
The House of Assembly hopeful was accompanied by the APC Chairman of Lokoja Local Government, Hon. Maikudi Bature, some political appointees from the area and a host of others.
