Ward secretaries of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ijumu local government chapter, has expressed confidence that the party will November 11 governorship election in Kogi state.
The forum of PDP ward secretaries across the entire fifteen wards in Ijumu LGA, under the leadership of Yodson Dayo, said local government workers and the primary school teachers in Kogi state will have cause to smile if Melaye emerge Governor of the state.
In a statement signed by their spokesperson, Akinlabi Tope, the ward secretaries congratulated Senator Dino Melaye on his emergence as the party’s governorship candidate.
The forum said Melaye has the capacity to berth a new Kogi state with attendant good infrastructure, shared prosperity, enhanced health and educational facilities as well as adequate security.
“PDP have shown that they much believe in the harmony of the state. The party has also made sure that power shift to Kogi West in the spirit of equity, fairness and justice.
“We thank the entire PDP delegates for voting for Melaye during the party primary.
“We also thank all our party leaders across the twenty-one local government areas in Kogi state for their positive support toward the success of the party primary.”
