Ahead of the yet-to-be-scheduled local government elections in Kogi state, party executives of Lokoja Ward E chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has formally endorse Hon Yaba Maisaka for position of Executive Chairman of Lokoja LG.
The APC executives led by the party chairman, Umar Yawu made this known at a meeting on Monday at the residence of the Ward party chairman.
The meeting had in attendance the whole ward excos, women leaders, youth leaders and other party faithfuls.
The excos expressed their joy and readiness to support the aspiration of Hon. Maisaka noting that he is a person of unquestionable integrity and character whose leadership qualities are rare to find in the local government, looking at his track record and antecedent.
The Party excos, however, implored Hon. Yaba not to give attention to detractors who are indicating interest in the chairmanship position but should concentrate on his project as they are only out to seek attention and gain cheap popularity.
Meanwhile, in their unanimous decision the ward party chairman, Alh. Umar Yawu maintained their commitment towards ensuring that Hon Maisaka wins in grand style.
In a separate speech, Umar Innah, who spoke on behalf of the Kabawa and entire ward E communities, assured Hon Yaba of their unflinching support.
According to him, Hon. Yaba possessed the heart among other aspirants big enough to accommodate everyone when he finally assumed the position and called on all the people to queue behind Yaba.
Responding, the leading and only chairmanship aspirant in the ward, Hon Yaba appreciated the entire ward excos and stakeholders for the show of love and promised never to disappoint them when voted in.
Hon Bala Salis (Justice), the campaign DG of Ward E Agenda Movement thanked the entire ward excos for endorsing their brother and enjoined them to convince other influential party stakeholders and delegates to vote for him.
