LG Polls: Ensure Victory for APC, Aroniyo Tasks Party Members

  • Applauds Governor Bello

The Vice Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Olle-Okeoffin ward, Kabba-Bunu local government, Chief Aroniyo Timothy has charged party members across Kogi state to work round the clock to ensure that APC wins all elective positions in the forthcoming December 12, 2020 council elections.

Speaking with this reporter on Sunday, Aroniyo said it is important for the party to come out tops in the elections, adding that it will go a long way to ensure that the state continues to make steady progress.

Chief Aroniyo commended Governor Yahaya Bello for his leadership role in the recent conclusion of the choice of the party’s flag bearers in Kabba/Bunu local government area which has produced consensus candidates for the next council polls – Hon. Moses Olorunleke as the chairmanship candidate and Hon. Dare llutanmihi as the APC  Councillorship candidate for Olle-Okeoffin ward respectively.

“I want to say a big thank you to Governor Yahaya Bello and other prominent APC members for this. The essence of this is to strengthen the government for better performance and that we shall achieve in the end.

“I appeal to all members to rise against the odds, keep our differences aside and strengthen the bonds of friendship and unity to keep our constituency, state and country together.

“Our major priority as political players is to protect the interest of our dear party and keep it above personal gains,” he said.

Chief Aroniyo also commended the Governor for his sterling performance so far, adding that the Governor has not let the party down.

“Governor Bello has not let us down. He is doing a fantastic job despite the economic challenges confronting the state.”

He commended the Governor Bello-led administration for the high premium placed on the security of lives and properties in the State.

He also appreciated the the Kogi State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon. Wemi Jones, FCIB and State Security Adviser, Commander Jerry Omodara (Rtd) for their exemplary leadership and tireless efforts in complementing Governor Bello in ensuring a peaceful coexistence between party faithfuls before, within and after the polls.
