LG Poll: Martha Commends Bello, Onoja, Others

Hon. Martha Moses has commended Governor Yahaya Bello and his Deputy, Chief Edward Onoja over her victory as the Vice chairman of Ankpa local government in the last council polls.

In a statement signed by the Special Assistant on Media to Chairman, Adams Mustepha Aikoye, the Vice Chairman described the journey as dream reality.

She noted that Governor Bello, out of his political wisdom, recognised the usefulness of women inclusion in politics, adding that the step taken by him demonstrated his commitment for the progress of Kogi state. 

Martha urged Ankpa sons and daughters to join forces with the new administration under the leadership of Hon. Abagwu Ibrahim, the executive chairman of Ankpa LG, in other to work positively for the development of the local government.

“I commended the honourable commissioner for youth and sports development, Hon. Idris Musa (Oando), Hon. Abdullahi Bello, Ankpa APC chairman chapter and the former law maker representing Ojoku /Enjema, Hon.Abdullahi Zekeri for their good work,”she said.

The vice chairman also expressed her gratitude to the Deputy Speaker of Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon Ahmed Mohammed, the House of Representative member for Ankpa federal constituency, Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims, member representing Ankpa II constituency, Hon. Rabiu Alfa and all the political leaders in Ankpa local government. 

Recall that Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KOSIEC) conducted local government election on December 12 and all candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) were declared winners of all 21 chairmanship and 239 councillorship positions in in the state.
