LG Poll: Kabba/Bunu APC Stakeholders Endorse Ariyo Kemuna as Sole Candidate

Ahead of the Local Government elections in Kogi State and in line with the early resolutions of zoning and micro-zoning of the Chairmanship position  to Kiri axis of Bunu land, the critical stakeholders in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area, after much consultations, unanimously endorsed the candidature of Ariyo Adebayo Kemuna as the All Progressive Congress (APC) chairmanship candidate that will fly the flag of the party in the forthcoming polls.

Speaking to Journalists in Lokoja, on Saturday, shortly after the stakeholders meeting attended by the party executives from the local government and wards, Hon Olorunmosule Elisha confirmed that party leaders considered and ratified the choice of Ariyo Kemuna.

Prominent party leaders in attendance at the meeting  include the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Prince Matthew Kolawole, Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Hon Wemi Jones and other bigwigs of the party.

According to him, it is a collective and popular decision of the stakeholders to nominate Ariyo Adebayo since it has become necessary for the party to narrow down on a candidate that will carry everyone in the local government along  irrespective of who is the person and the position he or she occupies.

He said it is only God that enthrones hence he was lucky to be considered among other contenders, stressing that the political arrangements put in place in Kabba/Bunu paved way for him due to the sub zoning of the position to Kiri axis coupled with his huge contributions to the overall success of the party in the local government.

He charged other aspirants and members of the party to rally round him as their own time will soon come, noting that the party will continue to provide the enabling environment for all to aspire and realize their aspirations under a rancour free process.

He commended the leadership of the party under Prince Matthew Kolawole for providing a qualitative and transparent leadership which created room to have a peaceful resolution without any rancour within the party.

He said Kabba/Bunu APC will continue to be loyal and promote the ideals of Governor Yahaya Bello, and the party structure headed by Alhaji Abdullahi Bello.

He urged the candidate to continue to work hard in promoting peace and togetherness of the party, noting that the leadership has already put in place a reconciliation committee to reconcile all aggrieved persons who may not be happy with the outcome of the resolution.

He commended other party leaders like Commander Jerry Omodara, Hon Wemi Jones, Hon Jethro Funsho Oni, Hon Ojo Nathaniel Taiwo, Hon Duro Meseko, Chief Julius Arokoyo, Hon Ade Olamife, Hon Kehinde Oloruntoba, Hon Charles Olorunmaiye, Mrs Obamoh Women Leader, Hon Olu K, Hon Fred Aiyenale, Hon Raphael Okomoda, Chief Samuel Meseko, Barrister Ola Odano etc for their supports and cooperation.
