Member, House of representatives and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for Kogi governorship election, Hon. Leke Abejide, has applauded citizens of the state for their commitment to religious harmony.
In a goodwill message to celebrate Muslims on Eid-el-Fitr on Friday, Abejide said he foresee hope and fortune for the people Kogi state.
The lawmaker expressed hope that “Kogi State will continue to experience peace and development giving the religious harmony and unity in the midst of our ethnic and religious diversity.”
He used the opportunity to commend the people for various community security initiatives that have complemented the effort of government at all levels in the state to stem the tide of insecurity.
“Our collective interest as a people is to continue to live in harmony, peace and unity, which are the key indicators of our strength as a people and a hope for a better future in Kogi,” the lawmaker added.
The Kogi governorship hopeful, while praying for Almighty Allah to grant all our prayers at the just concluded Ramadan, also urged Muslim faithfuls to continue in the spirit and lifestyle of holiness and modesty as demonstrated by the holy Prophet Muhammed (PBUH).
