A senior legislative aide to the President of Nigerian Senate, Mallam Abdul Adama, has called on all leaders across Kogi state to ensure that the dreams and vision of the late Prince Abubakar Audu are fulfilled for the betterment of the people of the state.
Adama made this known in a press statement commemorating the one year anniversary of the late former governor’s demise.
Recalling the giant strides made by Audu when he served as Kogi State Governor, Adama said the force of Audu’s vision made him the best governor in his time.
“Audu unarguably laid the foundation for Kogi’s greatness and the onus lies on us that he left behind to keep his lofty dreams of a better Kogi state alive”, he said.
“Prince Audu was a prudent manager of resources, every kobo spent must be accounted for. He personally monitors all government projects to ensure that they are implemented as planned. The result of this managerial style is evident as his projects, executed between 1992 and 2003, are still standing strong, stronger than projects executed after his tenure. Upcoming leaders in the state must embrace his managerial style.
“Audu’s achievements in education, tourism, hospitality and other critical sectors of the economy did not come by accident. These achievements are products of robust planning and clearly defined vision. We will miss him dearly.
Adama, recalling his close working relationship with Late Audu during the 2015 electioneering campaign across the state, described Audu as a well polished politician.
