As the race for Lugard House, the government house of Kogi State picks up momentum, one of the gubernatorial aspirants in the state, Lanre Ipinmisho, has said that he is the change the state needs now, “considering that the state is in urgent need of help”.
Ipinmisho, who spoke yesterday, rebuked all those in the state who aspire to lead, but have no conviction for leading the people right.
“Lord Lugard House is not for sale; it is for those who want to lead. If it was for sale, no one in the person’s right mind will buy it, because it is not worth buying. The state needs help urgently and only those who have the heart and the desired boldness can step up to bring that help as urgently as it is needed. Kogi needs change now and I am that change which Kogi needs now,” he said.
The former director-general of the NDLEA, who is seeking the ticket of the All Progressives’ Congress (APC), emphasised that the change chanted everywhere is only a slogan, but the true change can only be initiated by Nigerians in their respective states and homes, so that the nation can move forward.
