A socio-political group, Kogi Pathfinders, has resolved to draft Mallam Abdul Adama into the November 21st Kogi Governorship race and promote his ideals as the best material for the Lugard House.

In a statement signed by Mohammed Salihu and Olusegun Abiodun, the group’s President and Secretary, the group explained that the choice of Adama is hinged on 5 key reasons that distinguishes him from the pack of current aspirants – he is detribalized, a result-oriented administrator, he represents generational shift, high integrity and he is accessible.

According to the statement, “Abdul Adama, a chieftain of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Kogi State is the former Special Adviser on Public Private Partnership. He once served as Chairman of Kogi United and Confluence Queens Football Clubs. His achievements in these offices are unrivaled till today”

The group further stated that, “when Abdul Adama was assisting the immediate past Governor of Kwara State, his main assistant was Alhaji Asuku, an Ebira man. His detribalized trait was not a fluke because as Special Adviser in Kogi State his main assistant was Mr Opeyemi, an Okun man. As Chairman of the two state-owned football clubs, he solely appointed management teams for both clubs and the positions were evenly spread across the three senatorial districts in Kogi state. Anyone who is familiar with the way things are being done in Kogi state will salute Adama for this”

“Abdul Adama is young and represents the current clamour for generational shift from the old order to new. Not less than 12 youth groups across Kogi state have identified with this gentleman with loads of awards and accolades. Aside his age, he is a result-oriented administrator. He stabilized the clubs he managed and made them good brands in the Nigerian football circle. As Special Adviser, he was the architect of the newly signed Kogi PPP Law.

“Abdul Adama is a man of high moral standards, his integrity in unquestionable. While in government, he once returned millions of naira back to government coffers. After leaving office, he returned hundreds of thousands of naira that was wrongfully paid into his account back to government coffers.
