In line with his leadership role in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kogi State, former governor of the state, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, has brokered peace between Capt. Idris Wada, governor of Kogi State and one of the alleged aspirants in the governorship race in the state, Com. Mohammed Alih aka Soja.

The reconciliation occurred in Abuja when Wada returned from Lagos where he collected an award for good governance from HOG magazine.

Friday LEADERSHIP reliably gathered that the peace process was facilitated in the former governor’s house where, prior to that meeting, Mohammed was allegedly warned by his mentor not to collect a nomination form.

Our source who pleaded anonymity said the peace meeting in the former governor’s house was also meant to clarify the speculation that it was Alhaji Idris who was sponsoring his political son, Mohammed for the gubernatorial race.

Mohammed and Capt. Idris were said to have embraced each other as a sign that peace had returned between them.

According to the source, this was the reason why during the screening of PDP aspirants yesterday in Lafia, Nasarawa State, Com. Mohammed Alih’s name was not on the list.
