I would like to use this opportunity to wish all the gubernatorial aspirants in this upcoming gubernatorial primaries of the APC August 29th, 2015 and the PDP September 10th, 2015 respectively, the best of luck as they stand to be elected to lead their various political parties as flag bearers for the 2016 guber election in Kogi state.
I, as well, humbly plead with our highly respected delegates of the both parties that they should go all out to vote for a candidate in their parties who is competent and above all a candidate with the mindset of making Kogi state a better place.
I also want to use this occasion to plead with the delegates across the ‘nook and cranny’ of our state who would go to the poll to elect their party flagbears; you elect an aspirant who has the interest of the state at heart, someone who has the zeal and desire to make mother Kogi a better place to live, someone with the experience, ability, credibility, will-power and, with all due respect, the wisdom to be able to keep the state united.
I humbly plead with the delegates that their parties needs a candidate who can secure victory for the party and also win the support of all Kogites  including the security services such as the Military and the Police, and all Kogites in this state and in the diaspora.
All the delegates must take into consideration that we need them to vote for a governor and not just a flag bearer of their parties because we do believe that whoever is voted as the flag bearer for these parties in August 29, 2015 and Setember 10, 2015 of the APC and PDP respectively may automatically become the governor of for this state come January 2016 “Insha’Allah”.
My highly respected delegates in both APC and PDP must also consider whether Kogi state will have the hope and trust in the aspirants that the delegates will vote for, and that we  would be fully secured and unafraid of tomorrow or what lies ahead…that he is a good person and that he would bring back our lost destiny.
Our delegates must take into consideration once again that we need a candidate who would continue to hold their parties together. We don’t need anybody who would divide others.
We by ourselves alone cannot get all the votes we need to produce a governor but as the cliché goes “two heads are better than one”. This is why we need to stay together to be attractive enough to draw other people to join us in order for us to go beyond the absolute majority.
We should bear in mind that it is only unity that can assure us a competent governor come 2016, so it is imperative and mandatory on the part of every member of the parties that we forge ahead in the true spirit of solidarity and tranquillity right after this elections for the betterment of Mother Kogi at large.
We are a state of peace and a state that shows high level of democratic credentials to the world when it comes to tranquillity in elections and so we must bear that in mind as we go to the polls.
Unbehalf of the entire twenty-one local government areas that makes Kogi state, I pray for a safe, free, just and fair election, and once again wish all the APC and PDP aspirants for this year’s primaries all the best and I pray that the best man wins.

– Comrade David Alfred-Dogwo is Former Personal Assistant to His Excellency, Air Commodore Dan Suleiman; Hail from Bassa Local Government Area of Kogi state & High profile member of Nigerian Ambassador of Peace.   08034768404
