A Group, Forum of Local Government Delegates, has endorsed Governor Idris Wada of Kogi State for a second term in office.
The group made up of members of executive council of local government chapter in the state also passed confidence vote on the governor, saying he has performed creditably well in the last three-and-half years in office.
Addressing newsmen in Lokoja, yesterday, the chairman of the group, Idris Atabor Waja, said the decision to endorse the governor was informed by his achievements in office.
He said that despite many challenges, the governor has made giant strides in the area of infrastructural development, citing the examples of the ongoing construction of School of Medicine in Kogi State University, Odu General Hospital, Dekina among others.
“We deemed it necessary to publicly pass vote of confidence on the governor and to say that we have tested him in the last three-and-half. He should be allowed to continue to fly the flag of our party, the People Democratic Party, to contest the coming governorship election in the state.”
