The whereabout of the governorship candidate of the Action Alliance (AA), in Kogi State, Otunba Olayinka Braimoh is presently unknown.
Speaking from Iyamoye, Ijumu LGA this morning, his media aide, Musa Olumayowa Yakubu said, “The last time I heard from him was in the morning when he called from Kabba town but all attempts to get through to him since that time proved abortive. His mobile lines have been switched off, including that of his entourage
“I am aware of security challenges in the state which has, today, risen to an unimaginable level due to the ongoing governorship election in the state. This singular attempt has not only disenfranchised Otunba Olayinka Braimoh from exercising his voting right but has created palpable fears and anxiety among supporters. This is why we are calling on the security agencies across the state, to as a matter of urgency, deploy every available security apparatus, to locate his whereabout and get him home safely
“This may be the handiwork of his detractors who will do anything to stop him from winning this election but, against all odds, it will further strengthen his supporters across the state not to get discouraged because Olayinka Braimoh is the next governor of the state,” he said.
