The people of the central senatorial district today trooped out in their thousands to welcome the PDP Governorship campaign train of Governor Idris Wada at Okene.

The governor who was visibly overjoyed over the large crowd of PDP supporters at the rally expressed gratitude to God for making the day a reality.

He told the people of the area to continue to believe in the PDP as it was the only party that is capable of improving their living standards.

According to him the PDP was on the rise again and will win the coming governorship election in the state.

He said he will continue to redeem his promises to the people adding that the promise of power rotation will be actualised in four years time.

He said the Obangede-Ogaminana road will be fully rehabilitated while the Obangede hospital which has been reverted to its original status of specialist hospital will be well equipped with the right personnel posted there.

Earlier, the acting National chairman of the PDP Chief Uche Secondus urged the people to vote for Governor Wada whom he described as a God fearing, honest and peace loving leader.

Also speaking, the deputy Senate President and chairman of the National campaign team of the PDP for Kogi governorship election, Chief Ike Ekwerenmadu said the PDP was the only party that is honest in its actions. Saying wada will not disappoint the people if reelected.

Highlights of the ceremony was the presentation of the PDP flag to governor Idris Wada by the Acting National chairman of the PDP Chief Uche Seconds to fly the party’s flag in the forthcoming Election.

Dignitaries at the rally include Chief Uche Secondus, Chief Ike Ekwerenmadu, Governor Olusegun Mimiko, Alh. Ibrahim Dankwanbo, Gabriel Suswan, Alh Ahmed Gulak, High Chief Raymond Dokpesi, Alh. Ibrahim Idris, Senator Ahmadu Ali, Chief Olisa Metuh, Husseini Maibasira, Tijani Usman Shehu (NANS President) and a host of others.
